1. Locate your Parish Population for each decade before you
begin. |

2. Go
in your start menu and locate “Excel” |
|
3. Go under “A” column #1, you need to leave this box blank. |
|
4. Now
slide to Column B #1 Type “Population” |
|
5. Under “A” column #2,Type “Year” |
|
6. Go under “B” column #2, you need to leave this box blank. |

7. Under
“A” column near #3, type in
1900. |

8. Now slide to Column B (still on line
3) and type in the
population for 1900 |

9. Under “A” column near #4, type in
1910. |
|

Now slide to Column B (still on line 4) and type in
the population for 1910. |

11. Under “A” column near #5, type in
1920. |
|
12. Now slide to Column B (still on line
5) and type in the
population for 1920 |

13. Under “A” column near #6, type in
1930 |
|
14. Now slide to Column B (still on line
6) and type in the
population for 1930 |

15. Under “A” column near
#7 type in

26. Now slide to Column B (still on line 13) and type in the

Now slide to Column B (still on line 13) and type in
the population for 2000. |

29. Now take your mouse and drag to highlight all of your
results then go under “Insert” at the top and click “Charts”
and decide the type of chart you want to display. |

Click “Next” at the bottom. |

Type in the Title “Parish
Population for 100 years”. Then type your
name under Population. |

Then click the button that says “as new sheet” and
title it “Parish Population for 100 years” and click finish. |
|
33. For different color bars, click on the bar itself and
you will see the color chart pop up. Choose the color you
want. |

34.
Go to the top menu and find “file”. Then drag it
down and find “SAVE DATA SET AS” and click on that. |
|
35. Save the data as your initials or name and parpop on the
desktop. Example:
Samparishpop or
smparpop and
print. |
