Description

4-H is the largest youth development organization in the world.  It is open to boys and girls ages 9-19.  It is organized throughout the United States as well as in many foreign countries.  In Louisiana, the 4-H program is conducted by the Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service, the educational branch of the LSU Agricultural Center.

In Vermilion Parish, there are about 1,000 4-H members in 30 organized clubs.  Members work on individual 4-H projects, participate in club and parish educational programs and activities, and "learn by doing."
