A security problem has been discovered for
Windows which can be affected through
websites or email. We have blocked the
affected file types with our firewall, but
you should still be cautious. As in all
cases, do not open attachments you are not
expecting, even from people you know. Until
a patch is available, I would stay with
familiar and trusted websites, and avoid all
questionable websites.
A Microsoft Patch will be automatically
installed at noon Friday, January 6th.
Windows 2000 and XP computers will restart
automatically if the option is not canceled
at that time. Windows 98 computers will have
to be updated manually using Internet
Explorer!
Click here for instructions to update
Windows 98 computers!
See the What's New and the Technology Tip to
the right for some good information and
links to Martin Luther King and instructions
for the WONDERFUL OnCourse Reports!
We are currently working on the website.
Some of the links and information may be
moved to a new location. We apologize for
any inconvenience, but hope the new look and
design will make it more pleasing and easier
to use. All links will eventually be
returned to our site. Should you not find a
page you need, please let us know!
Several users have reported problems
accessing the On Course Lesson
Planner site as well as general
problems with Internet Explorer.
We've identified that the cause in all
cases thus far is due to the user
having installed either the Yahoo
Tool Bar, HotBar, Viewpoint,
WeatherBug, or other 3rd party
software. These programs must be
removed from the Windows Control
Panel.
