U.S. Trading Card


Look through chapters 1 to 18 in your textbook and find a person you would like to learn more about.  Record information from your book about this person, you will be allowed to find further information on the internet if the book does not have the answers to these questions:

  1. What is his/her full name? Does he/she have a nickname?
  2. When were they born?
  3. Where were they born?
  4. When did they die?
  5. Where did they die?
  6. What is this personís greatest accomplishment?
  7. What is his/her important contribution to the United States?
  8. Find an interesting fact about your person.

To create your trading card:

  1. Log onto the computer using your username and password
  2. Click Start
  3. Click My Computer
  4. Double Click on teachers on Ďsch16
  5. Double click on bergeron
  6. Double click on students
  7. Double click on Trading Card Template

Power point will open a template. In order to save changes you must save the card to your folder on the server, call it PeriodFirstLTradingCard.

Your card must include:

a.      answers to all 8 questions above

b.      a picture of your person, or a picture directly related to your person

c.      Sources included in small print at the bottom of the card
