Louisiana loves to celebrate and, thanks to it's heritage, there is always a reason to have a great time!

Louisiana has more than four hundred annual fairs and festivals each year. Mardi Gras is Louisiana's most famous celebration but Mardi Gras is only one of Louisiana's big festivals. Louisiana citizens like to celebrate their many products and heritage. Some product festivals include sugar cane, rice, strawberries, peaches, corn and soybeans.

Music, food, parades, kings, queens and balls are also part of the celebrations. Louisiana's music inspires festivals. Zydeco and jazz, country, bluegrass, gospel and blues are some of the sounds you might hear at a Louisiana fair.

Food is a big part of Louisiana fairs and festivals. Many love to eat boudin, jambalaya, crawfish and much more. The one thing that is always certain is that everyone goes to fairs and festivals to have a great time!
