Description: Melissa Ryan The Diary of Anne Frank Vocabulary Lesson Plan. TTW begin lesson by taking an online quiz at http://www.funtrivia.com/playquiz/quiz19829216b4a68.html on ACT I of Diary of Anne Frank together. TSW take turns answering questions and discussing the correct answer. TSW complete a circle map of all the vocabulary they have discussed while reading Diary of Anne Frank. TW introduce the students to an online dictionary at http://dictionary.reference.com/ TSW use the online dictionary to look up definitions and synonyms of their vocabulary words. TSW then go to www.puzzlemaker.com to create a crossword puzzle using their vocabulary words and definitions. TSW print two copies: one to be graded and one to be traded. When all crossword puzzles are completed the students will switch puzzles and solve for a grade. Early finishers will go to http://www.tangischools.org/dept/tech/SchoolTech/melissa/Diary%20of%20Anne%20Frank.htm and complete online activities about Anne Frank.
