Antivirus 360, which is a clone of Antivirus 2009, is another phony antivirus
program. DO NOT INSTALL! Don't confuse Antivirus 360 with the legitimate Norton Antivirus 360
product, or our Lightspeed Security Agent. Your PC usually gets infected with Antivirus 360 when you install a
video codec that comes with a Trojan, malware or virus. You can also get
infected with Antivirus 360 by visiting malicious websites. Once your PC is
infected, your screen will be bombarded with security alert pop ups saying that
your computer is infected. This scam tactic is done in order to try to trick you
into buying the sham Antivirus 360 program.

A new page has been constructed to honor our teachers, students, and support
people of the year. It is called
VPSB
HONORS and is listed under the "Congrats" section. Newly constructed
pages highlight our teachers of the year:
Stacy Broussard,
Michelle Caldwell, and
Patrice
Mire!
Great links for Black History Month and Lincoln's 200 birthday have been added
to our Sites of the Month!
A new search link now appears near the upper right of our homepage which will
search all pages of the Vermilion Parish web site. This search link is a
local search for the topic you enter which appears on our web
site. If you wish to search the entire web, this new link is not the one
to use. The option to search only one web sites is normally done by using
the advance search. In Google, you can place the keyword "site:" and list
the specific site you wish after the topic or subject of the search. For
example, if you wished to search for information on the stimulus plan on the ed.gov site, in Google, you can enter "stimulus plan site:ed.gov". Everything
returned in the search would come from ed.gov.

Videos for the Making Meaning Program (The reading intervention program used in grades 4-8) are now available
for Vermilion Parish teachers online. The videos not only give the rationale behind the program, but also demonstrate how to teach the program through sample lesson clips. To view teachers actually instructing students, click on the tab which corresponds to the grade level taught, then click on “Lesson Videos”. This is a great resource for all teachers who may have concerns or questions about Making Meaning.
(Vermilion Parish teachers can view these videos by going to public on 'snoopy'
and clicking on Making_Meaning in the Making Meaning folder!)
