Palm Handhelds in the Classroom

This three (3) hour workshop is designed to introduce the participant to the Palm handheld, discuss the pros and cons of its use in the classroom, and become acquainted with the software that comes with the handheld as well as some additional software (much of it for free!) that makes this compact computer a useful tool for the classroom.  This is a hands-on workshop!

Microsoft Excel This three (3) hour workshop is designed to give the participant a general overview of the Microsoft Excel window, its basic toolbars and functions, an understanding of workbooks and worksheets, designing and formatting worksheets, understanding cells and ranges, entering data , understanding and entering formulas and functions, and formatting display options.  The participant will also learn how to create graphs from information entered into a spreadsheet.

Learn how to create an online learning environment that can supplement your teaching. With a content or grade level Blackboard you can work with other teachers and create cross curricula discussion areas, post documents and assignments and use the testing feature to create online tests that are instantly scored
