The
internet supplies an endless world
of learning and discovery for our
children. Surfing the web has
proven to increase reading and research
skills in the youth today. While
helping to increase these skills it also
helps children to prepare for their
future.
As we all know the World Wide Web is a
wonderful resource tool, but it does
carry risks and can be a very dangerous
place for an unknowing child.
Children need to be computer savvy.
They should be able to distinguish
resourceful sites but also recognize
sites that should be avoided.
The Vermilion Parish School System would
like to share with you the tools that
can be incorporated to ensure safe
internet practices. |
