Graphing

Excel Templates from Caesar Rodney School District

  • Excel Skittle Graph - Use this activity to compare the number of Skittles in 2 different bags.  Do all bags have the same number of Skittles?  Are the colors distributed equally?  Students enter the number of Skittles and it will automatically graph.  This activity was designed for Kindergarten.  Older students should make the graph for themselves.

  • Excel Favorite Farm Animal Spreadsheet - Use this spreadsheet with the whole group and your LCD projector.  Each student can enter their favorite farm animal and dynamically watch the graph change.

  • Excel M&M Graph - Using this spreadsheet, students estimate and record the number of each color of M&M they think is in their bag.  Then the actual numbers are counted, recorded and graphed.

  • Excel Conversation Hearts Graph - Same activity as above only using the Valentine's Day Conversation Hearts candy.

  • Excel Lucky Charms Graph - Same activity as above only using Lucky Charms cereal.

  • Excel Pet Survey Graph-Drag and drop the pet pictures into this table to complete a bar graph based on a student survey.  Print and use this Survey Data Sheet prior to making the graph so that students can collect their own data.

  • Excel Do you Like Pumpkin Pie? - Use this graphing template for students to record a yes or no answer.  Template counts each response and makes a bar graph.

  • Excel Have you Ever Flown on an Airplane? - Use this graphing template for students to record a yes or no answer.  Template counts each response and makes a bar graph.
