Dear Student of 2060,

My name is Ali. I am in 4th grade. I go to Dozier Elementary School. Teachers are Mrs. Porter and Mrs. Kay. I live in Erath, LA I am 10 years old. My birthday is on April 21st.

I am writing this letter to predict in the future. I will be 60 years old in 2060. I think there will not be any busses to ride. I think all the houses will have stairs.  You might not need a key for your car when you drive. I think you will not need fuel for an airplane. I think homework in the future will be easy.

I told you about my prediction in the future. I hope I will be alive in 2060. I will be 60 years old.

                                                                                                          Your friend,

Dear Student of 2060,

Hi, my name is Brennan. I am a fourth grader at Dozier Elementary School in Erath, Louisiana. I am nine years old. A hurricane in 2005 flooded our school, and we are just getting back. We now have a big wall around the school to keep the water out if we ever flood again. I am so glad to finally be back at our old school.

Many different events happened in 2009. Here are some of them. The New Orleans Saints are undefeated. The United States elected its first African American president in 2008. Also, the world痴 people were threatened by a deadly virus called H1N1. These are some events that happened in 2008-2009.

We have different prices than we will in the future. Right now, a twelve pack of coke is $3.00. In the future, it might cost $8.00. Gas costs $2.50. In the future, (if people use gas cars at all) it might cost $6.00. I hope everyone in the future will have the money to buy the things they need.

All of these things are what I think of the future and now. The future will be very different from now. People will have different things. They might have hovercrafts and robot soldiers that shoot guns out of their hands so no people would die. We will just have to wait for that time to come.

Your friend,

Brennan

Dear Student of 2060,

Hi my name is Jean-Paul. I go to Dozier Elementary. I am in the fourth grade. Aim doing this for a class project to put in a time capsule.

In 2009 there is a lot of technology in our world. We have computers, laptops, I phones, and cell phones .It helps us a lot because if we need to find information we can go on a computer. If we need to talk to somebody far away we can use a cell phone.  Is Technology really helps us.

There are a lot of important events that I would like to tell you in our world we have some special events like when Michael Jackson died. Michael Jackson was a singer. When he died he had a funeral and there were a lot of people there. Another important event was when we had the first African American president. His name is Barrack Obama .I saw him on TV. and he looked nice. There are a lot of important events you should know.

There are also a lot of prices. Coke now is $3.00. If you want to buy a house it is $100,000.Sometimes people go watch movies. It is $5.00.The price of milk is $4.00.Those is prices that are important.

If I live until 2060 it will be so cool for me to be able to see you open this time capsule. But, I doubt it because I might die before2060.If I am alive I will be 60 years old. I am so glad I got to tell you about our world.

Dear Student of 2060,

My name is Jill. I go to Dozier Elementary School. I am from Erath, Louisiana. My teachers are Mrs. Lurry and Mrs. Porter. I am writing this for a time capsule.

I am going to predict how the world will be in 2060. I think cars are going to be more than now. Gas might be $3.00 a gallon. You might have easier homework than right now. You might not have to write at all. You might just use laptops. There probably will be different shops from now. They might have a store called Black Jack. They might have different food called pasta chicken.

Your life might be easier than now. You might have more restaurants to eat at. You might have computerized homes. I hope my letter will be in the newspaper. I will be 59 and hope to be a parent.

I wish you well, and hope that I will maybe meet. We can look at this and see if any of this came true.

 Dear Student of 2060,

My name is Kaitlyn. I go to Dozier Elementary, and I am in fourth grade. I am doing this for a class project, and when I am done I will put it in a time capsule.

I am going to tell you about some prices in our world in 2009. A pack of gum costs 1.50. A bike costs 50.00. A loaf of bread is 2.89.

I am going to tell you about our world in 2009. Our world in 2009 we have a president, and his name is Barak Obama. Barack Obama was the first African American in the world. Movies that are popular now and then are like Night of the Museum, and Goosebumps all that kind of stuff. Goosebumps is like a scary movie because it got cats, bears, and monsters in that story. Night of the Museum is not that scary to me because it has Socagwea, a little war of men one side is good, and the other side is evil. They like to destroy stuff. Those movies are some of the popular movies.

I told you about prices in 2009 and our world in 2009. When 2060 I will be 60 years old, and I hope I would still be living when 2060 comes.

Dear Student of 2060,

My name is Owen.  I am in fourth grade. I am a nice person. I

Go to the school Dozier Elementary. I am doing this so you can read my letter and to predict what 2060 will be like.

This paragraph will be about some of my prediction of what the future will be like. One of my predictions is that in the future you will have flying cars. A good prediction is that you will have robot butlers. If this prediction will happen in the future it would be cool if you will have to travel in a bubble. If that would happen in the future that will be cool. Another prediction is that you will have floating houses in space.

I hoped you liked my two paragraphs and that all this happens in the future.

If all of this happens you will have an easy life, a fun life, and a not board life.

Dear Student of 2060,

My name is Payton. I go to Dozier Elementary, and I am in the fourth grade. I am doing this for a class project, and when I am done I will put in the time capsule.

I am going to tell you some prices of how much some things cost today. Gas now costs $3.50 a gallon. I wonder how much gas will cost in 2060. Maybe you don稚 even need gas anymore. Milk costs $4.96 a gallon. A house now would be about $190,000 dollars. A car would cost about $30,000 dollars. Bikes cost about $150 dollars. Bread probably is about $2.75 a loaf. I wonder how much some things will cost in 2060.

Now I am going to tell you some things that are popular. I will also tell you about some things that are in style. Some things that are in style are skinny jeans. Some shoes that are in style are converse and high tops. Some movies that are popular are Twilight and New Moon. I always thought that in the future they would have flying cars and stuff. Do they have flying cars now? Well, I guess I will never know until the time comes.

Now I am just going to tell you about what the world is like now. Right now our president is Barrack Obama. They are having war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Right now we have cell phones. Do you still use cell phones or is it something more fancy? Well, I guess I will have to wait until it痴 time for me to find out.

These are not all of the things going on. Well, I mean I am only 9 I don稚 know everything going on. I tried my best. These are some things I know.

Dear Student of 2060,

My name is Peyton. I am in fourth grade at Dozier Elementary. I am 9 years old. I read a lot and sing a lot. I am writing this letter because we are doing a school project. I like to take pictures and look at myself.

I will write about prices and things in 2009. The flat screen 52 inch TV  is $1,500.00. A lamp is $20.00. Things now in 2009 are lead pencil, notebooks, chairs, booksacks, and lunchboxes.

I will tell you about inventions that we have now.  We invented the DVR. Two things we invented are iphones 2009 and ipod. Some other things are the new computers windows 7 2009. A DVR is something on real live TV and you can play, pause, fast forward and rewind. A windows 7 2009 is a computer where you drag another box in the down left corner and it痴 a program.

All of these inventions are exciting and fun. You can learn from them. I had a merry time writing to you.

Love,

My name is Tanner. I知 nine years old. I知 in fourth grade. I go to Dozier Elementary. I`m am from Erath, LA.  I'm writing a letter for a time capsule.

I'm going to predict how the world will change from 2009. I think gas will be $4.50 a gallon. I think candy bars will be $2.75. I think there will be more cars in the future. I think there will be robot animals that can predict the weather.

I hope I will still be alive in 2060. I think in 2060 there will be a magical road. It will look like a real road, but when someone tries to ride on it their car will shut down because only certain people can go on it. I hope there will be houses floating in the air. I think there will be a shot that will let you talk to animals.

I hope people who read this letter will think about to write a letter about their life in 2060. I hope my friends and family will still be living.
