"We Care"

I chose to teach because I just simply love children. I wanted to make a lasting impression in this world and the best way I believe to do that is to give knowledge, love and a little piece of my heart to each child I teach.

 

Professional Career

  • Graduated from Erath High, 1988

  • Graduated from U.S.L., 1994 BA in

  • General Studies, BS in Elementary Education, Certification in Kindergarten

  • 16 years teaching experience

  • 10th year at Dozier

  • Certified in Spalding, Project Read, Linda-bell Seeing Stars-Phonemic Awareness Program

  • INTECH

  • ETI (Technology)

Extra Responsibilities

  • Junior League of Lafayette Tinsel and Treasures administrative treasurer

  • Junior League of Lafayette Admissions Chair and on the Provisional Committee

  • Delta Delta Delta Alumni Chapter

  • Delta Kappa Gamma President

  • • I will be the 55th anniversary playground project chair and member of the community research committee for the junior league this year.

Hobbies/Special Interests:

  • I love to paint, draw, read to my children, do arts and crafts with them.

  • My favorite books are The Giving Tree,
    Guess How Much I Love You, Love You Forever,
    and all of the Miss Spider books.
