In an effort to support one of their own in his fight against Muscular Dystrophy, Dozier Elementary supported "Gage's Brigade" on March 16th. Gage Ritchey is a 3rd grade student at the school who was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, (a progressive form of MD that occurs primarily in boys). To coincide with the Muscular Dystrophy Association's Muscle Walk at Acadian Village on St. Patty's Day, Dozier Elementary went green for Gage. On Friday, March 16th, students were allowed to make a $2 donation to the MDA Association and wear jeans and a green shirt to show their support for Gage.
