Animal Explorations

Teacher poses the question: How do different animals adapt to live in their environment? (Download actual lesson and student lesson. PDF or MS Word)
  • First students blind fold each other and pretend they are bats trying to find food (a peppermint).
  • Second, the students will  read a nonfiction article on how Bats find food by echolocation and answer some questions.
  • Third, students use the laptops to research how some desert animals use adaptations to survive in the desert.
  • Finally, they had to tell what they learned about animal adaptations in their learning logs.
