Fun with Regions in Social Studies

Students in Ms. Lori Porter’s class are using the internet to research the different regions of the United States and comparing the similarities and differences between the regions.  Students take a “pretend airplane ride” over the different regions and observe the physical and human characteristics. They then work with partners to research the regions. Students create quilt squares of their research. When the students are finished with all five regions, they will have a completed quilt of all of their research.  Students are shown on their pretend airplane ride.
