High School's 2018-2019 Teacher of the
Year Amy Broussard LeBlanc is excited to
be back "home" in Big Blue Nation!!
She's a 1998 EHS grad and earned her
Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in
Communication from UL Lafayette.
Prior to joining the EHS faculty, Mrs.
LeBlanc taught the basic speech course
at UL Lafayette, earned her alternative
certification in Secondary Speech
Education and most recently taught
speech, broadcasting and fine arts at
Breaux Bridge High School for nine
years. In 2013, she became certified to
teach Family and Consumer Science. She
chose teaching as a profession to share
her passion with students and to help
mold young people into confident young
adults. William Butler Yeats once said,
"Education is not the filling of a pail,
but the LIGHTING of a FIRE." This quote
best summarizes Mrs. LeBlanc’s
educational philosophy, as her goal in
the classroom is to LIGHT a SPARK in her
students and cultivate PASSION and
ENTHUSIASM in them to pursue whatever
career paths they choose!!!!
“Those who bring SUNSHINE into the lives of
others cannot keep it from themselves.”
-James M. Barrie
Mrs. LeBlanc is married to EHS alum

with their handsome, smart 1st grader
Locke Stafford and their sassy miniature
schnauzer Roxi Diva. In her spare time,
Mrs. LeBlanc enjoys spending time with
her family, shopping for good deals,
staying up-to-date on the latest fashion
trends, news and celebrity gossip and
using her creativity to help others!
