I. September 11th Powder Puff Game and Announcement of the 2012 Homecoming Court 6 PM @ Robert J. Segura Stadium -(NOTE! THIS IS TWO WEEKS BEFORE Homecoming). Program begins at 6:00 p.m. with the presentation of the Powderpuff Court and the crowning of the Powderpuff King. Powderpuff flag football games will follow. The 2012 Homecoming Court will be announced before the championship game (between games 3-4) Admission is $5.00. Admission for EHS students wearing class t-shirts is $3.00.

The powder puff court was named Friday, August 31st at the pep rally. Congrats to the 2012 Erath Powder Puff Court: Austin Domingues, Brennan Barras, Wayne Scalisi, Coy Clostio, Jordan Lange, Hunter Darby, Bretty Young, Shay Primeaux and Gannon Broussard. Shay Primeaux was crowned King at the Powder Puff Game on September 11th. The 2012 Homecoming Court was named at that time.  Congrats to the 2012 Erath High Homecoming Court: Claire Gondron, Callie Dore, Sandra Pham, Miranda Hebert, Jamie Mallet, Shae Delcambre, Brittany Goutierrez, Annie Watson and Jada Guidry.

II. September 23rd-27th Student Homecoming Week Activities The students will be allowed to dress up each day to match the theme for the day. Each day the students will participate in the following activities.

  • Homecoming Theme - "Cruising to a Bobcat Victory!" (The theme is a cruise ship theme.)
     

    • Monday - Port of Call: Hawaii Monday - Luau in the Courtyard with a Bobcat Limbo Contest and Dance Off Competition

    • Tuesday - Port of Call: Mexico Tuesday - Courtyard Fiesta with Pinatas hanging from the Bobcat Oak and an Eating Competition

    • Wednesday - Day at Sea! Wednesday - Stomp Class Competition

    • Thursday: Italy Thursday - Chariot Races between the classes at the Bobcat Coliseum (Stadium)

    • Friday: Homecoming Day!

    • NOTE: Erath High Message from the office: "EHS Dress for Friday: Students may wear Homecoming T-shirt, uniform, blue jeans (that follow dress code policy), school uniform shorts or uniform pants. (No class spirit shirts that day.)

      Football players and band members will be allowed to dress in their (football and band) shirts. Cheerleaders and dance team will wear their uniforms. If you have questions, you may contact the office."

    • No Erath High Message: "Students will NOT be allowed to check out of school Friday."

*** NOTE: Homecoming Service Projects: Erath High will conduct three service projects as part of our Homecoming class competitions. Donations may be turned in to any EHS student or the front office. We are collecting newspapers and t-shirts for the Bares Ranch and canned goods for the Catholic Daughters.

III. September 27th (Thursday) Hall of Fame-Tea @ the Community Center 7 PM. Induction of Jonathon Toups and Rudy Lange. Former Homecoming Queens will be recognized at the Tea this year.

IV. September 28th (Friday) Homecoming Day

  • Mass 7:30 AM Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church

  • Visitation and other events:

    • Erath High's Community visitation in the courtyard will be 9:00 - 11:00 AM

    • Dozier Elementary’s visitation will be from 8:30-10:00 A.M. This will be a blue and white dress day for Dozier students. Specific information is listed on Dozier's site.

    • Erath Middle's visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

    • LeBlanc Elementary "Student" Pep Rally:  In lieu of visitation, LeBlanc Elementary will host a short "student" Pep Rally in the gym with the football players, band, cheer and dance squads on Friday, September 28th.  The time of the event will depend of the movement of the football team between the four area schools. Due to lack of space in the gym for a community event and fire marshal code, the pep rally will be a "student only" event.

  • Erath High Community Pep Rally 11:00- 11:45 AM in the EHS gym.

  • Homecoming Parade - 12:30 PM **NOTE: If your class plans to participate in the parade, please call the school to notify us so that we may plan accordingly. No alcoholic beverages will be allowed in vehicles or floats during the parade. See Parade Route 2012 

  • Presentation of court and naming/crowning of Queen 6:15 PM @ Robert J. Segura Stadium.

  • EHS vs Church Point - 7 PM @ Robert J. Segura Stadium.

V. Dismissal Procedure(s)

  • Erath High's Dismissal procedure: EHS Students driving and walking will be dismissed immediately after parade and bus riders will load bus after parade. Buses will leave as soon as middle school student board the buses.

  • Erath Middle's Bus dismissal will be at approximately 12:50, and walker/car rider dismissal will be at approximately 12:55 (See all Erath Middle information here!)

  • Dozier Elementary's early dismissal will be approximately at 1:30 P.M.  (See Dozier's homecoming link with all information here!)

  • LeBlanc Elementary's Dismissal:  Due to timing and bus issues, LeBlanc Elementary students will not be able attend the parade as a school. They will however, have an early dismissal at 1:30 P.M.  (See LeBlanc's Homecoming information here!)
