Erath High School Piano Lab -
Erath High School Piano Lab opened its doors to younger
talent for an eight-week class this summer. Kelbi La
Share, one of the youngest musicians is pictured with
teacher Marilyn M. Trahan. A fun time was also enjoyed
by the “buddies,” composed of mothers, aunts, and
grandmothers who attended each lesson participating as
helpers in the learning process.
A special thank you to Nina Perrin, a member of the EHS
adult piano class who helped as an assistant. Buddies
kept a running score sheet of points accumulated from
Theory, Technique, Methods, and Performance. Students
turned the 5 and 10 points into rewards of candy, chips,
and three quick snap cameras for a bonus of 100 points.
Students performed 5 selections during the final meeting
on Wednesday, August 27. Familiar favorites “Theme from
Star Wars”, “A-B-C/1-2-3”, and “Mary Had a Little Lamb”
were hit tunes for all in attendance.
This school year the EHS lab will service 72 students
grades 9-12. |
