Congratulations to the EMS Jr. Beta!!! Jr. Beta members attended District Day at Iberia Middle School on January 28, 2012 and placed in various events.  The club placed 5th in the T-shirt contest and 2nd in the Banner contest.  Many students participated in the Academic contests.  The following placed in their divisions.   Erik Belanger placed 3rd in Science, Evan Lemaire placed 5th in Spelling, Maci Viator placed 2nd in Public Speaking, and Andrew Vallot placed 1st in Special Talent.   All 1st through 3rd place winners will compete at State Convention in May. Officers just attended State Convention in New Orleans at East Jefferson High School.  There the club place 2nd in the Poster contest and 2nd in the Photography contest.  In addition, Jena Allen placed 1st in Oratory.  She performed her speech in front of approximately 1200 students at convention.
