JR. BETA CONVENTION AGENDA

Thursday, May 3, 2012

7:00 – 7: 25 AM
·         Wear Red club shirt with race car with jeans or khaki pants!!  No shorts are allowed!
 ·         ALL BETA MEMBERS WILL REPORT TO FIRST HOUR. EACH GRADE LEVEL WILL BE CALLED TO REPORT TO THE GYM TO COLLECT LUGGAGE AND LOAD THE BUS.
·         You may bring snacks for in the Cajun Dome.

7:30      
·         EACH GRADE LEVEL WILL BE CALLED TO REPORT TO THE GYM LOAD THE BUS. 

        9:00 – 10:00 AM
·         Arrive at the Cajundome.  Students and chaperones will walk into the Cajundome together.  We will be seated in section ____.  At this time you will get your program and name tag.  Preprinted labels with your name on it will be given to you.  Place the preprinted label on your name tag. YOU MUST WEAR YOUR NAME TAG AT ALL TIMES!!!!  IT MUST BE WORN IN THE TOP RIGHT OR LEFT CORNER OF YOUR SHIRT- NOT ON YOUR PANTS!!!!

         10:00 – 11:00 AM
·         FIRST GENERAL SESSION/OPENING CERMONIES
     

            11:00 AM Stand and Stretch Break – No concessions will be sold!
  All Academic competition entries report directly to your competition.
 All Special Talent entries report to the right side of the state – turn in cued
           music.

           11:15 AM COMPETITIONS WILL BEGIN PROMPTLY - All paper, pencils and tests provided!

·         Science – Iberia – Dome:  Good Luck Erik!!!

·         Speech – 2^nd floor Convention Center – Good Luck Maci!!!!

·         Keynote Address – NO TALKING—BE RESPECTFUL TO THE SPEAKER

·         Special Talent will be on stage.  At this time, you must remain in your seat and NO TALKING!!  Show respect to the performers.

           1:00 – 2:30 PM
·         Concession stands open

          2:30 – 5:30 PM
·         SECOND GENERAL SESSION

          5:30 PM  ·         Load bus
         
          6:15 PM  Parents should pick up students in the semi-circle at EMS

Friday, May 4, 2012  

·         WEAR YOUR RED BETA SHIRT (Betas, Start Your Engines) WITH JEANS.  NO SHORTS!!!!

·         We are not stopping to eat breakfast!!!

              7:00 – 7: 25 AM

 ALL BETA MEMBERS WILL REPORT TO FIRST HOUR. EACH GRADE LEVEL WILL BE CALLED TO REPORT TO THE GYM TO COLLECT LUGGAGE AND LOAD THE BUS.
·         You may bring snacks for in the Cajun Dome.

              7:30   AM
·         EACH GRADE LEVEL WILL BE CALLED TO REPORT TO THE GYM LOAD THE BUS. 

Load bus and return to the Cajun dome.

·         BE SURE YOU ARE WEARING YOUR NAME TAG!!

              9:00 – 10:00 AM
·         Arrive at the Cajun dome
·         Concession stands will be opened. If you plan to eat, you need to get your food before the session begins. Do not waste time, the concession stands may close at 9:30.  BE IN YOUR SEAT FOR 9:45 AM.
·         The session does not end until 1:00 PM; so you may want to get a snack for later.  We are not stopping to eat on the way home.

              10:00 AM – 1:15 PM
·         THIRD GENERAL SESSION

·         All groups Talent entries report to the right of the stage

 

1:15 PM Load bus

2:45 PM Plan on picking up your child at the EMS semi-circle at 2:45.
