Where Academic Success Is The Rule For All Students
On October 30, 2015, Erath Middle School Principal, Mrs. Wendy Stoute announced that Amber Rodrigue Viator was named the schoolís 2016-2017 Teacher of the Year.

Viator, a native of Erath, is a 2002 graduate of Erath High, and a 2006 University of Louisiana graduate who earned BA in Education. Her certifications include: Elementary 1-5, Middle School (4-8) Mathematics and ELA. She received her Master Degree in 2011 from the American College of Education in Educational Leadership. She is currently attending McNeese State University where she is obtaining certification in Library Science.

The former Amber Rodrigue has been married to Jake Viator for 8 years. Amber Rodrigue Viator is the daughter of Randall and Faye Rodrigue of Henry. Viator began her career teaching in Vermilion Parish in 2006 at J. H. Williams where she taught for 5 years. She remained home for a few years after the birth of her daughter, Rylann Viator. She returned to the parish in 2013 and taught third grade at Cecil Picard Elementary. In 2014, Viator came back to her hometown of the mighty Bobcats where she is currently an 8th grade ELA teacher and a 7th grade math intervention teacher. Viator enjoys being involved in extracurricular activates at school; she is the cheerleading coach, co-Jr. Beta sponsor, on the PBIS committee, and enjoys aiding in community projects that involve the great students of the Big Blue Nation. The next level of competition for the Erath Middle teacher will now be at the parish level.
