On October 7, 2011, Erath High School will
celebrate Homecoming. As in the past, we at Erath Middle will join
in many of the activities on that day. We would like to extend to
you our invitation to join us in our celebration of EHS Homecoming.
Please understand that Homecoming Day is very hectic for us;
therefore, we must have guidelines which to follow.
visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Most
students will be with their homeroom teacher during visitation;
however some will be dispersed with other grade level teachers.
Students will be informed, at the beginning of Homecoming week,
where they will be during visitation. Please visit with your
children in their respective classrooms. Erath Middle students
will not be allowed to walk with their family members
around our school, nor will they be allowed to leave our campus to
visit other schools. Students will not be allowed to
check out prior to our 12:50 dismissal.
If a student is absent from school on Homecoming Day he/she will not
be allowed on campus for visitation or the parade. Students caught
doing this will be punished at school on their next day present.
We ask that you adhere to our visitation times in order for our
students to be allowed lunch and a break.
parade will be held at 12:30. Our students will watch the
parade in front of Erath Middle School. The students will be asked
to stay with their homeroom teachers.
Our cafeteria will be
providing brown bag lunches to students who wish to eat in the
cafeteria. Students who normally bring their lunch may do so.
parade students will return to their homeroom class for
dismissal. Bus dismissal will be at
approximately 12:50, and walker/car rider dismissal
will be at approximately 12:55, following normal pick
up procedure. We ask that parents pick up students in the
semi-circle. We regret the inconvenience this may cause, but we
need to ensure the safety of our students.
We hope that you can find time to join us for
the festivities. We are looking forward to seeing you.
Yours in education,
Lynn G. Moss, Principal
