Sandra Broussard

I chose to teach special needs students, because it is very rewarding for me.  I continue to learn from my students each day and my hope is that they can learn something from me to take with them and have an independent as possible future to suit their needs.

Education and Experience:

  • I am a graduate from Erath High School, UL graduate and certified in Special Education, with an add on as Teacher leader and English as a Second Language.

  • I have a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from UL @ Lafayette.

  • I worked as a para professional at J. H. Williams for one year.

  • I began teaching at Dozier/Erath Middle in 2005 where I am currently teaching. I have taught many varieties of special education classes; inclusion, combination classes, READ 180 and currently self-contained.

  • I have three daughters; Theresa Touchet, Tarrah Davis and Tiffany LeBlanc who are also Erath Alumni. I have been blessed with 10 grandchildren. My oldest grandson, Bryce, who is a 2014 graduate of EHS and is married to Fernanda. Payne will be a Senior, Austin will be a Sophomore and Kennedi will be a Freshman at EHS. Nate and Carlee will be in 7th grade and William will be in 6th grade at EMS. Kathryn will be in 5th grade at Dozier. Andrew in 5th grade and Chloe will be in 2nd grade at LeBlanc Elementary.
