Delay Named Vermilion Parish
Elementary Teacher of the Year!
recently announced Mrs. Brenda Delay, an Eaton
Park educator, as the District's Elementary
Teacher of the Year.
The 1st grade
teacher has been teaching for 30 years and is
still defined as an inspiring, energetic and a

member of the Positive Behavior Intervention
System (PBIS) committee and has been
instrumental in making positive changes at Eaton
Park. Among all of these responsibilities, Ms.
Delay also assists in writing the first grade
math curriculum for Vermilion Parish alongside
Ms. Torrie Guzzetta.
Mrs. Delay is
married to Chris Delay and together they have
two children, Lindsey and Grant.
Ms. Delay's husband, Mr. Chris Delay was
in on the big surprise!
