CONGRATULATIONS TO VPSB LA4 PRE-K PROGRAMS
Good news for Vermilion Parish
Pre-K teachers recently arrived reporting the results for the past
year’s ECERS Ratings for five of our hard-working teachers. ECERS,
the Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale, is an exacting
evaluation based on seven subscales: the classroom’s space,
furnishings, personal care routines, language-reasoning strategies,
activities, interaction, program structure, and parents and staff.
The Pre-K program is evaluated annually using this rating scale.
This is the first time that all Vermilion Parish teachers evaluated
with this rigorous environmental rating scale outlined by Federal
guidelines scored above 5 ratings and passed the assessment. Those
evaluated include at Dozier Elementary - Tasha Trahan, at Herod
Elementary - Stephanie Robichaux, and at Kaplan Elementary – Tessa
Badeaux, Angela Broussard, and Sandy Richard. These teachers, their
paraprofessionals, and principals, are to be commended on their hard
work, dedication, and excellent attention to meeting the
requirements mandated by the state of Louisiana.
