I chose to teach because I enjoy sharing knowledge with
young people and helping them to unwrap the gift of
education. I believe that all children are capable of
learning and I strive to reach each child that walks into my
classroom. I am very excited to be teaching at J.H.
Williams which I know is the best kept secret in Vermilion
Parish! Go Wildcats!!!
I am a graduate of Kaplan High School and Grambling State
University where I earned a B.S. in Biology. I worked as a
biomedical research intern at Dartmouth Medical School in
Hanover, NH and Johns Hopkins Medical Institute in
Baltimore, MD. I was on the path to receive a M.D./Ph.D. in
Immunology but realized that this field was not my passion.
I decided to pursue a career in the field of education which
has been my passion since I was a young child.
“Reading is a gift you can open again and again.”
I am the proud mommy of three to Stephen Paul, Riley Jacob and
Sydnee Claire. I enjoy reading and writing creatively. I also
like to travel and meet new people. I am very talkative and
enjoy learning about diverse cultures.
