Welcome to the JESSE OWENS ELEMENTARY Library where we believe every child deserves the opportunity to meet reading goals.  Our library is now undergoing a revision and we hope it will be a totally AR oriented library soon.  We house six computers for student and teacher use and a storytelling area.  Our fabulous display case is a focal point of interest not common to school libraries.  The computers are used for a search station, check-out station, Internet, and AR.  Children visit the library individually and with their class group at scheduled times.  Activities include research, book check-out, listening to stories, viewing book DVDs, reading books, and storytelling.  One full-time librarian runs the library. The library is open from 8:03 a.m. to 3:00 p.m daily during school.   We hope you enjoy the visit.
