Vision Statement

We, the faculty of Jesse Owens Elementary School, through cooperative effort with the home and community, endeavor to develop students to their highest potential.

By providing a variety of learning experiences, we strive to develop in each child the skills and capabilities needed to cope with experiences which arise in daily living.

Development of the whole child is important. The  intellectual, personal, social, and physical needs of the child are provided for in a curriculum developed cooperatively by administrator and faculty. In view of the great differences in the needs of the various students, we believe the curriculum should include provisions for the students with great intellectual potential, the average child, and the ones whose capacity for learning is minimal.

We, the Jesse Owens Elementary School faculty, recognize the need to instill in our students the values, attitudes, and a valuable ability to function in our ever-changing society.
