Patterns are anytime an upcoming thing can be
predicted because it follows a predictable set of guidelines.
There are different kinds of patterns.
Building Patterns: Patterns that increase (The numbers in order make a building pattern.) are also called building patterns. They start out small and get bigger and bigger!
Repeating Patterns: You see the same set over and over again.
Decreasing Patterns: Patterns in which the amount get smaller and smaller. (Counting down is a decreasing pattern.) In the picture below from outside to inside.
Skip Patterns: Numbers can make skip patterns. These patterns are very important for counting money and other things.
