NV Calendar

The NV Calendar will have all of NVHS' events for the month.  Just click on NV Calendar! 

Tennis practice today at 3:00 p.m.

For anyone interested in trying out for the dance team, there will be a technique clinic offered this Saturday in the gym from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.  Cost is $10.  Registration will be Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m.

Science Club permission forms for Engineering Day are due to Coach Blake today.

Soccer gear is to be returned to Coach Dieterich tomorrow afternoon in ISS.

Boys and girls track parent meeting will be held in the cafeteria tonight at 6:00.

Any student interested in a career in the medical field should pick up an application for the AHEC of a Summer internship program from the counselor's office.  Applications are due by February 24.  See Mrs. Anne or Coach Blake for more details.

Students if you are interested in nominating your favorite teacher for the Barnes and Noble Favorite Teacher contest, see Mrs. Jill in the library.

For RITE:  Students in any kind of study hall are required to bring something to work on or book to read.

The lunch detention list will be posted daily on the computer lab door.  It is your responsibility to check the list.  If you do not report, you will be assigned after school detention.



2/27-3/1 Mardi Gras Break - No School



On February 19-21, Sarah Vice, Anna LeBlanc, Kennedy Trahan and Saylor Chanthvongsy, along with 66 other TAG students from the parish attended the TAG field trip to Dauphin Island Research Lab in Alabama.  Students participated in marine science-based research classes. While on the island, students were highly engaged in the following activities: they dissected squid, built and tested an underwater ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle), collected sea life in Mobile Bay aboard a research vessel, and studied plankton's affect on our environment.
