Dozier Elementary hosted their 2012 Book Fair during the week of January 30 through February 3rd. Traditionally, the students and parents purchase books on campus. New this year was an option allowing parents and grandparents to order books online if they couldn't make it to the actual book fair. Dozier Elementary Librarian Schuyler Poche also hosted a Family night on Thursday, February 2nd to offer additional time for families to come together for the book fair. Annual school book fairs across the parish are held to promote the importance of reading at home, as well as bringing money directly into each library to purchase additional books and items needed.
