I love
writing,
photography, reading, working with technology and
Community History
-
I
chose to
teach because children seem to touch my heart in an
extraordinary way. In essence, I believe that helping
children open doors to their future is my gift to them,
while the openness of their youthful hearts and minds,
are and will always be their gift to me.
-
I was born
with a hearing disability, but most people don't realize
how, as a teacher, I used that to my advantage.
Special Message concerning my hearing disability and
teaching.
-
Most people in my hometown
know that I have a love of photography and technology.
However, what most people don't know is that my love of
photography began when my maternal grandparents gave me
my first "Brownie" camera for Christmas when I was in
2nd Grade.
-
I love writing articles
and sharing photographs with the local
"Abbeville
Meridional." Personally, I love sharing "good
news" with others and this is a great outlet for me.
-
Retired from teaching in
September of 2007 due to health reasons, but remained
active with helping teachers with technology at the
parish level.
-
I love the challenges of
technology on a personal level as well as in the
classroom!
